Editorial Policy

Last updated

Our goal is simple: every article should help you make better coffee, and you should be able to trust what it says.

Accuracy and sources

We check facts against reliable sources such as manufacturers, coffee research organizations and published studies, and we list the main sources at the end of articles where they matter. If we can’t verify a claim, we leave it out.

Testing claims

  • Hands-on tested means we used the product or made the recipe ourselves.
  • Research-based means we assessed a product from manufacturer specifications and published information without testing it.

Every buying guide is labelled one way or the other. We never describe testing that didn’t happen, and we never publish invented ratings, reviews or quotes.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to help with research, outlines, drafts and editing. A person reviews every article, checks the facts and quantities, and approves it before publication.

Some illustrations, such as a drink or a coffee scene, are AI-generated; their captions say so. We never use AI images to show a real product: product photos come from the manufacturer or from our own camera.

Independence

Our recommendations are not for sale. We may earn affiliate commissions when you buy through some links, as explained in our affiliate disclosure, but this never decides what we recommend. Advertising is kept visually separate from articles.

Updates and corrections

We review guides when products or information change and show the date an article was last updated. If you spot an error, please tell us and we will correct it promptly.
